Stoneway Guest House

“Fantastic stay in a fantastic location! A history lover's dream! I loved the location of the property, its idiosyncrasies and history, the facilities and the lovely hosts, Andy and Maria, who were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The vegan breakfast was delicious and a delightful treat as a vegan who was concerned of a lack of vegan options. I had a very comfortable stay and although I was there for work, I still had time to explore the town of Bridgnorth which the Stoneway Guest house was a perfect starting place to do so. The gorgeous stairwell which the guest house is located at looks straight from a fantasy story! It connects Low Town to High Town and reminds me of the pretty parts of Old Town Edinburgh, and halfway up the stairs is a Theatre On The Steps, a theatre venue with a variety of stage and music performances literally 1 minute (2 and a half set of steps) away from the guest house. There's plenty to see around the town, all of which is within 10 minutes walk from the guest house, which makes it such an idea base to be in. I had a perfect view of the Railway right outside my room too which was great! It wasn't too noisy so it didn't wake me in the morning and it closes at 6pm so it won't keep you up at night which is a great bonus for such a perfect view of such a rarity. I would have to say the room itself had a slight dusty smell which didn't bother me too much as you kind of get used to it within a few hours, and is to be expected in a building with such a long history. Also the WiFi signal didn't seem too stable at some points, but I was able to use some of my mobile data which I had good signal with; and considering I didn't spend too much time indoors from exploring the local area, which there is plenty to explore, it didn't pose as a big issue in the end.”
